Autonomous Mobile Robots
We have been conducting research on
mobile robot platforms and autonomous
navigation algorithms that can operate in both
indoor and outdoor agricultural environments.
Recently we have been focusing on the study
of 4-wheel independent drive and steering
mobile robots and reinforcement
learning-based mobile robot control.
Manipulator Robots
We have been conducting research on
manipulator robots and end-effectors for
flower thinning, fruit thinning, pruning,
harvesting purpose in orchard environments.
Recently, we have been focusing on the
study of AI-based control for an apple
orchard pruning robot.
4-legged Robots
We have been conducting research on
4-legged robots for scouting and data acquisition
in indoor and outdoor agricultural environments.
Recently, our focus has been on developing
walking algorithms for sloped and high-soil-
functionality field environments, as well as
studying weed recognition and mapping using
the legged robot.
