WELCOME TO
SIBL

Our lab is dedicated to addressing global challenges in the field of biosystems. To achieve this, we are committed to pursuing research that can make

difference in the world through creative and innovative ideas.

Our researchers strive to grow into independent global scholars

with a clear understanding of global issues and a warm passion for the world.

We hope you find the lab tour informative.

Please feel free to contact Prof. Kyeong-Hwan Lee (khlee@jnu.ac.kr)

if you have any questions.

Research
Interests

Our laboratory conducts research in the fields of biosystems robotics,

artificial intelligence, computer vision, nano-scale agrochemical delivery devices, and digital agriculture, which are applicable for biosystems.

In the biosystem robotics field,

we are engaged in research on mobile robots capable of autonomous navigation indoors and outdoors, manipulator robots that can perform farming tasks in crops and fruits, and 4-legged robots for observing and acquiring data in indoor

and outdoor agricultural environments.

In the artificial intelligence an computer vision field,

we work on three-dimensional modeling of crops and agricultural environments. Through this, we analyze characteristics that were not easily observable in 2D images and perform research on creating digital twins in virtual spaces.

In the nano-scale agrochemical delivery devices field,

we research particles and devices at the nano-scale that can efficiently deliver

small quantities of substances into plant cells to effectively address stress or diseases in crops and fruit trees.

In the digital agriculture field,

we collect data with sensors, analyze it with artificial intelligence to make

optimal decisions, and create fully automated, unmanned digital farms

that perform farming tasks using autonomous agricultural machinery.
